More DIY filing cabinet ideas!

I've been trying to work on this project for a while, but never have the time. I finally started it yesterday, and am pretty pumped on how this is going to turn out! I just bought three cans of spray paint from Lowes (the color is Valspar Gloss Exotic Sea) I went ahead and sprayed the whole cabinet for now, but I think I want to do something different with the doors and handles but not fully set on that idea. One idea that I AM going to do is by some kind of lace fabric pattern and lay it on the sides of the cabinet and spray on the pattern. Not sure what color I want to use so I'm welcome to ideas! Just toss em in the comments box :) The room is gray btw so something that will go with that. The gray really makes the blue pop! :) I would love your ideas and comments! Thanks! Have a wonderful day!

Let it GROW, Let it GROW, Let it GROW!

I decided this year that I was going to embark on something that I had never done before...grow a garden! Not just your average flower garden, a vegetable garden! At first I thought this would never result in anything because I do not have the time at all, but somehow I was determined to make it work.So since this was my first veggie garden I didn't want to spend a ton of money just in case it didn't work out for me. I went to Lowes and bought some regular old cinder blocks (that are so ugly) haha and enough potting soil that I felt like could cover my entire yard....I made my garden 3x3 and poured all the soil in.

(*Tip: I should have put something over the grass so that it wouldn't grow up through the vegetables.) Butttt I didn't so moving on. I then went ahead and bought my plants (not seeds because I'm to impatient for that) and planted them far enough from each other. I made sure that I watered them daily esp when it didn't rain (because it has been wicked hot this summer!) and gave them plant food. As you can prob see in the picture I ended up adding another block to each side and and some more plants. My friend Megan brought over some squash and watermelon a little later. She said she thought they would prob die because they were so fragile but they are huge now! I'm not the best gardener, but I was pretty proud of what I did grow :) Enjoy! Thanks!
